Peter Kornel Kovacs

A native of Hungary, Peter started with Gymnastics and Martial Arts at the age of 5. In his teen years, he began Ballroom Dancing quickly rising to Open Gold Amateur status.
By the time Peter was 17, he won several IDSF organized Latin and Standard competitions. He competed in Latin dance for 7 years in the Open Gold division. He has performed in Hungary, Austria, Germany, Romania and the United States (such as MASSABDA, K and S, Wendy Johnson Extravaganza and at Private functions).
Peter teaches a wide range of students from Social to Advanced Ballroom dancers and highly Competitive Competition students. He takes pride in teaching his competitive students, whom have risen to win Open Gold and finals at World Pro-Am Championships. Peter holds a B.A. in Pedagogy and in Mathematics from Ferenc Kolcsey Presbyterian Pedagogical Institute in Debrecen, Hungary. Peter competes with his professional dance partner, Marisa Noelle in International Latin. He coaches several collegiate Ballroom Dance Teams such as Harvard, Brandeis, MIT, and Northeastern. Mr. Kovacs Latin and Rhythm Group Classes are very popular with all students in the Ballroom Dance community. He is available for privat e one on one instruction, group classes and as a DJ for private events. Mr. Peter K. Kovacs is the co-owner and co-founder of Boston Ballroom Dance Center. He specializes in Latin, Rhythm, Smooth, Standard, Salsa and Swing dance instruction.




 

Marisa Noelle Panos

Marisa, Mr. Kovac's dance partner, is from Newton, Ma where she began her dance training with the Boston Ballet. She performed for 10 years in Boston’s holiday dance classic the Nutcracker, held at the Wang Center. Ms. Panos has performed numerous other Ballets with Boston Ballet, Boston Dance Company, and Milwaukee Ballet. She has taught for the Boston Ballet, International Dance Project, Turtle Lane Playhouse, The Performing Arts Academy in Salem and is the Performing Arts Dance Professor at Emmanuelle College.
Marisa holds a B.A. in Dance Teaching/Performance from Butler University in Indianapolis, IN. As an Amateur Latin competitor, she rose quickly to capture 2nd place in Open Gold, at Ohio Star Ball and by placing first in silver and gold divisions across the United States. She has performed in Taiwan, France, Germany, Canada and the United States (such as MASSABDA, K and S, and at Private functions). Marisa teaches a wide range of students from Social to Advanced Ballroom dancers and highly Competitive Competition students of all ages. Marisa Noelle Panos is the co-owner and co-founder of Boston Ballroom Dance Center. She specializes in Latin, Rhythm, Smooth, Standard, Salsa and Swing dance instruction.
